Goals
Goals: The UAEC aims to provide students with the opportunity to succeed through immersion in problem-based curricula and performance-based teaching and learning that prepares students to be lifelong learners.
- Responsibility: At Urbana Adult Education Center, students, parents, teachers, administrators, and community leaders are responsible for creating and ensuring an environment in which learning is modeled and valued, people share responsibility and credit for their work, and every person is a learner and a teacher
- Respect: At Urbana Adult Education Center, self-respect is built upon achievement and integrity. Each individual here has special gifts and talents, and we must recognize and appreciate our differences.
- Integrity: At Urbana Adult Education Center, ethical behavior underlies each individual’s endeavors. Each person must be aware of his/her own attitudes, biases, strengths, and weaknesses and work to be honest and responsible for his or her own actions.
- Service: Here at Urbana Adult Education Center, all must accept the challenge to share their gifts with others for the betterment of the world in which they live and work to be a morally and civically responsible member of society with a sense of belonging to a larger community.
- Kindness: At Urbana Adult Education Center, people must learn how to collaborate with others and be able to enter into meaningful and deep relationships with others by being empathetic and able to show care for others’ well-being.

Anyone 18 years or older and students who are 16 or 17 years old with a completed Urbana Adult Education Center referral form (The UAEC referral form will be emailed after registration.)

Anytime between Fall (August) and Spring (April).

You select your class time during your registration. Classes are offered at the following times:
- Mornings: 8:30-11:15 a.m. Monday-Thursday (Group A)
- Afternoons:1:30-4:15 p.m. Monday-Thursday (Group B)
- Evenings: 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday (Group C)

If you graduated from Adult Ed two years ago or less, please visit the Urbana Transcript Request page. You are a graduate of Urbana High School.
