English Language Acquisition (ELA) at Urbana Adult Education Center
UAEC offers ELA classes in English, employment preparation skills, and digital literacy to prepare for career training or transition to Academic English. We offer classes from Newcomer/Beginner to higher levels of English proficiency. Each class practices reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.
Please note: If you are enrolled in a university or college program, you are not eligible for our ELA classes.
Registration for the English Language Acquisition (ESL) classes open in mid-July 2026 for the Fall 2026-27 academic year.
